How Great, Jackson is Eight!

Today, our "baby" turned 8 years old.  To say how fast the last year (or eight!) went by is like noticing how quickly the world ran out of Charmin back in March.  It just *poof!* was gone.  This year has been one for learning a lot about ourselves.  We have become even closer than ever before.  Between learning at home, and helping us out at the family businesses, we have spent a LOT of time together.  And for all the challenging moments, there are 10 more amazing ones.

Jackson is a boy who knows who he is.  He cares deeply about people.  He is both tough and senstive at the same time.  He thinks about what he says and the meaning behind it.  He has grown morally, spiritually, physically, and is becoming such a wonderful young man.  He values others' opinions, but he is not afraid to form his own ideas.  He tells me he loves me about 25 times a day, and he is the best kid I know.  He is so naturally funny and makes us laugh til we can't breathe.  He loves to entertain, and enjoys singing at-home karaoke.  He has a close relationship with Alexa, and is currently teaching her all he knows. ;) He has now seen the entire Little House on the Prairie Series and knows all about life in the late 1800s.  He's got great intuition and he is always fun to be around.  And most of all, he loves his family and is passionately loyal.

Here is my interview with the birthday boy...
