Right now, Jackie is napping. I could have half an hour, 2 hours, or 10 minutes, it all depends.
Just wanted to share what's on my mind today.
First, if you've never tried online ordering with carside pickup at a restaurant, I don't blame you. I didn't even know it existed until a short time ago. Phil and I like to eat out once a week, but since having our little baby, sometimes we have to throw that thought in the "diaper pail" and come back to reality that it is HARD to fit a baby into YOUR desired agenda. So, enter the online ordering concept. Whoever came up with that is a GENIUS. Thank you. You made this mother very very happy. When Phil and I received a gift card to one of our favorite Italian places for our anniversary, I thought, hmmm--maybe we'll use this sometime next year. But, then I noticed the online option, and all I did was click click, drive to the pick up spot, and next thing I knew I was on my way home with a bag full of goodies. Not to mention my car smelled like Italian Heaven! After putting Jackie to bed, Phil and I had a yummy feast of soup, salad, bread, and pasta--and of course wine--and it was so wonderful. Gonna do that again soon. Thanks to his Mom and Dad for that gift!
Second, I just wondered if any moms out there could tell me, do your hormones just STAY out of whack forever once you have a baby, or do you just generally become more sensitive/emotional/(crazy) after having a child? I am curious because all of a sudden I'll just start crying while Dirty Dancing is on because of the fact that Patrick Swayze is no longer with us. He died 3 years ago. Why am I still not over it? And when I was reading the book "Love You Forever" to Jackie the other day, I couldn't even get through the FIRST PAGE of the story because I KNOW how that one goes, and it gets me every time. Geesh, I'm a softie.
Gotta go run and get some stuff ready for Jackie's Baptism this weekend. We are looking forward to a memorable day with family and some COOL weather. It's supposed to be in the 50s and 60s Saturday and Sunday. We are ready for that Fall weather! Also, Kayleigh is in softball camp this week and Phil and I are SO proud of her for trying out and giving something she's never done before her best effort. She loves it so far. Way to go, Kayleigh!
